Sarah Walsh

Sarah Walsh joined Saratoga PLAN as Associate Director in 2025. She brings with her more than a decade of experience leading land trust teams to increase the rate of land conservation and develop meaningful programming to connect people to nature while growing a diverse constituency. During her tenure as Mohawk Hudson Land Conservancy’s Associate Director, Sarah increased the land protection portfolio from 4,480 acres to 15,700 acres. She developed meaningful programming to connect people to nature, including Nature Bus and led in creating the Catskill to Adirondack Linkage, a resilient and connected pathway for wildlife movement and conservation recognized by the Staying Connected Initiative, an international organization focused on landscape-scale conservation. Sarah received a Bachelor’s degree in Wildlife Science from SUNY ESF and a Master’s degree in Science Education from the University of Albany. Sarah is an avid outdoor enthusiast who enjoys gardening, mountain biking, hiking, and bird watching with her husband and dog.
