As Development Assistant at Saratoga PLAN, Sarah aides in data tracking, reporting, and a variety of administrative needs. Whether it is supporting event coordination or preparing timely thank-you letters, Sarah assists donor relations and community engagement programs all with the goal to conserve more farmland and trails in Saratoga County.
Sarah holds a B.A. in Comparative Literature with a minor in Journalism from Colorado College, and an MBA in Sustainability from Bard College. Before joining Saratoga PLAN, she worked in natural food, both for humans and pets. One of her favorite roles was with the Pet Sustainability Coalition, where she managed their accreditation program, guiding pet companies to align their practices with the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals. While living in Denver, she also volunteered with Slow Food Denver, serving on the board and launching initiatives like the Snail of Approval program and other educational partnerships to advance more equitable food systems.
Outside of work, Sarah enjoys mindfully breathing in nature, fly fishing, making ice cream, and going on squirrel-spotting adventures with her pup, Wabi.
“The land and trails that PLAN conserves are part of what makes this area so special. I’m grateful to be part of an organization that cares deeply about honoring and caring for these landscapes so that future generations can enjoy Saratoga County’s wild side.”
