Glowegee Creek Trails

The Glowegee Creek Trails offer a walking experience of 3 miles roundtrip from end-to-end, with shorter treks possible. Glowegee Creek gurgles along a portion of the trails and a geological fault line runs through the site, bringing limestone to the surface in several places, resulting in a plethora of spring wildflowers.

Trail History

Adjacent neighbors Dusty and Arlene Rhodes and Maryanna Milton together donated 97 acres of land to Saratoga PLAN to form the southern section of the preserve (Glowegee Creek Trails South). Their neighbors to the north, Don and Linda Carpenter, placed a conservation easement on their 59-acre farm, allowing the public to use a trail in the woodlands along its eastern boundary (Glowegee Creek Trails North). All five landowners loved to wander and shared their woods with one another. Their donations make it possible for you to now enjoy these special trails.

Trailheads and parking areas are available at the southern terminus on Galway Road (County Route 45) and at the northern terminus of the trails (Old Mill Road).
