Leave a legacy on the land or honor a loved one by donating a tribute bench at one of Saratoga PLAN’s Preserves. Your donation supports Saratoga PLAN’s conservation mission.
Saratoga PLAN has identified special locations within our nature preserves where benches can be placed, ensuring they align with PLAN’s conservation and accessibility goals and provide meaningful opportunities for trail users to pause and enjoy nature. Benches are constructed and installed by staff and volunteers.
Tribute Bench – $5,000 Donation
Your donation covers:
- A handcrafted, rustic and finished bench placed at a designated preserve of your choice*
- A personalized 4”x6” cast aluminum bronze plaque affixed to the bench
- Bench installation
- General repair and maintenance for at least the first 3 years following installation

To request a tribute bench, please complete the form below. Each request is reviewed to ensure alignment with our conservation priorities. We will work with you to finalize the bench location and plaque inscription.
By submitting a form, you agree to the terms and conditions below. Once approved, please allow at least 6-9 months for the bench to be placed (timeline is dependent on weather, time of year, supply and ordering of materials, etc.).

Terms & Conditions
- *PLAN will try its best to accommodate donors’ preferences regarding preserve and bench location; however, final placement decisions are at the sole discretion of PLAN staff.
- PLAN staff reserves the right to approve plaque wording.
- Benches will have one engraved plaque ordered through PLAN. Additional plaques require PLAN approval.
- The full $5,000 donation must be received before installation.
- PLAN will provide basic maintenance of the bench and surrounding area for at least three years following installation.
- PLAN will replace stolen or damaged benches for up to three years after installation. After that time, replacement is at the donor’s expense.
- PLAN reserves the right to relocate or remove a bench if necessary for safety, environmental, or land management reasons. Donors will be notified and consulted if this occurs.
