Hemlock Woolly Adelgid Survey

When

January 25, 2024
12:30 pm - 2:30 pm
Eastern hemlocks are incredibly important for our region, but they’re under threat from the invasive Hemlock Woolly Adelgid (HWA), an aphid-like insect.

We’re calling on YOU to help slow the spread of HWA and protect local hemlock forests. Surveying involves carefully inspecting the backside of hemlock branches for the telltale white, cottony substance spun by HWA. No experience needed – all levels of volunteers are welcome!

Date: 1/25/24
