Farmland Access Workshops: Regenerative Agriculture

Tuesday, December 6, 2022, 6:30 PM – 6:30 PM

Presented by:

Zach Spangler, Ag Climate Resiliency Specialist for Cornell University Cooperative Extension

Regenerative agriculture involves a variety of specific practices all tied together by a set of guiding principles. Following these principles can create many benefits for farms and their communities including: improved soil health, increased biodiversity, resilience to extreme weather events, decreased water run-off and soil erosion, strengthened local food systems, potential for carbon sequestration and reduced emissions. This workshop will explore the principles and practices of regenerative agriculture, describe the benefits on farms and for society, and discuss how to get started with regenerative agriculture.

Additional workshops will be held January 10th and February 7th, follow @saratogaplan and @ccesaratoga on Facebook for announcements.
